Governors' Statement-NAHT Conference
2 May 2016
The Governing Body of Hartford Manor Community Primary School has complete confidence in our Headteacher, Mr Simon Kidwell.
Under Simon’s leadership, recognised by Ofsted, our school has seen significant and sustained improvement in the progress of all our children, from the more vulnerable to the most able. He has done this by establishing strong and diverse staff and senior leadership teams and is committed to their ongoing professional development.
Simon’s question at the Conference of the National Association of Headteachers this weekend arose from his commitment to equality, and in particular the fair treatment of children with dyslexia in the KS2 assessments. The response to the question, which has been widely reported in the media, does not reflect our personal and professional experiences in working with Simon.
We have seen record achievements over the last few years under Simon’s leadership. Moreover, Simon has been instrumental in securing and delivering a brand new, high quality, value for money, purpose built extension to our school which will enable us to broaden our excellent educational support to our pupils and offer provision to more children from our community.
