I am proud to be Head Teacher at Hartford Manor Primary School and Nursery. Our vibrant, two-form entry school provides a rich curriculum delivered by dedicated staff who aim to help every child to reach their potential. We want our children to have a strong sense of belonging, a shared sense of responsibility and to thrive in our school.

Positive relationships are central to our success. Our strong school community benefits from parents and carers who actively engage in a variety of ways, including volunteering in classes, supporting the Friends of Hartford Manor association and providing governance.

We take time to get to know each and every one of our children and families. Together we work in partnership to support pupil learning, value their differences and celebrate their achievements. High expectations across all ages and phases of our school lead to outcomes in reading, writing and maths that are consistently above national average by the end of Key Stage 2.

Our unique rural location enhances our curriculum, providing woodland areas and generous open spaces where children learn through nature and access a wealth of sporting activities. Children in Years 4, 5 and 6 travel further afield for overnight visits where they experience a broad range of activities such as archery, canoeing and a river cruise on the Thames. Our comprehensive curriculum thoroughly prepares children for the next stage of their learning.
