Spring Term learning - What Goes Up Must Come Down
Our topic this term is one of two halves - the first term with a science focus of Earth and space, and the second half with a geography focus on mountains. We will be learning about the Earth being a spherical body; how day and night occur; how and why seasons occur and phases of the moon. During the second half of the term, we will be learning about a selection of countries and their capitals; mountain ranges in European countries; reading Ordnance Survey maps and their symbols; ending with a review of the water cycle.
Our English work will be based on texts related to the topics, such as On A Beam Of Light (a story about Albert Einstein's life) and The Jamie Drake Equation.
